The Ford Foundation supports the development of the Forum on Information and Democracy to promote, develop and facilitate the implementation of public policies that safeguard democracy, human rights, and social justice regarding information and communication in online space.
National Endowment for Democracy
The National Endowment for Democracy supports the development of the Forum to enable a global coalition that includes democratic actors from the Global South to foster democratic norms and human right principles in international communication and information space.
Luminate supports the Forum’s project in order to promote and implement democratic principles in the global information and communication space.
The Agence Française de Développement (AFD)
The Agence Française de développement is supporting the Forum on Information and Democracy to include more voices from the Global South in the global tech regulation discussions.
Thanks to its support, the Forum has build some regional networks of contributors in 5 countries (Bénin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Lebanon, Senegal, Tunisia)
The German Development Cooperation (GIZ)
The German Development Cooperation through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supported the involvement of Tunisian stakeholders in the working group on infodemics.
This project aims to both mobilize Tunisian experts in the development of the recommendations of the working group and facilitate the implementation of these recommendations in the national context.
The Lithuanian Embassy in Paris
The Lithuanian Embassy in Paris supported the consultation of Lithuanian stakeholders for the working group on infodemics.
Dedicated outreach towards Lithuanian media organizations facilitated the adaptation of the recommendations of the working group in the country.
