Webinar: Unpacking public action for information integrity on climate and the environment

A few days before COP31 kicks off in Antalya, Türkiye, the Forum on Information and Democracy will bring together international experts and policymakers for an online webinar on public policies to strengthen information integrity on climate and the environment.

Climate disinformation, denial and greenwashing continue to undermine public understanding and slow progress towards the ecological transition. How can governments respond? What policies are already being implemented around the world, and what lessons can be drawn from these experiences?

Published on 13 October, the Forum’s new report, Mapping International Policy and Regulatory Frameworks for Climate and Environmental Information Integrity, offers the first international mapping of government efforts to address these challenges. Covering 23 countries and the European Union, it provides a practical resource for governments, civil society organizations, journalists and all stakeholders working to protect the integrity of public debate on climate and the environment.

Join us for an international discussion bringing together thought leaders, practitioners and policymakers from diverse backgrounds to explore the report’s findings, share experiences and identify concrete ways to strengthen information integrity ahead of COP31.
